Hunting & Fishing Colorado rifle season

I have the opportunity through a friend to utilize a land owner voucher in Colorado This year, I can choose between 3rd or 4th rifle seasons since he has both.

Opinions on either season??? The tag is an overall unit tag but good for the property as well so I can hunt on both. It's surrounded by public land if this helps

Personally I seem to see elk more active throughout the day the colder it is. I'd probably go with 4th season depending on the unit.

I didn't see that in your post. I don't hunt deer, but I'd figure out when the rut is and go then. Good luck.

This guy was chasing them hard on Nov 29th of 2015 in unit 65. Definitely rut.
