Are the posts on the Podbean app numbered? If so do a random number generator and that number will be the winner. Then announce the winner here on hide that way you can generate traffic for the site and the podcast.

I don't see a number on the comments

The comments are tied to a particular Podbean post so i can actually use the Desktop to link the comments to the correct episode

I thinking do it, like give me your best sob story to win a scope

I can do it in the App or I can do something here in the forum to manage comments

    Congrats Frank!
You could do some like hidden message in the 1M downloaded episode that gives instructions on how to enter. That would be some alien voodoo right there.

Frank, My dog ate my scope and he won't give it back. I could really use another so I can get back to shooting.

In all seriousness, congrats on the success of your podcast!

Sob story works. I think you should do it in the app that way you reward your listeners and not someone that’s looking for a free scope.

Frank, that's a pretty stand up thing to do.
If I was to win anything I would like for you to please pass it on to a more deserving soul.
It's not that I'm ungrateful, but I have been blessed.
I feel that there are more folks that need the kindness that our community is capable of providing.

I suggest a special episode and anyone who comments via podbean app gets entered to win. Then use a random number generator to pick.

Rewarding the best creative writers leaves a lot of us at a disadvantage.

Congrats Frank. I'm not one for pity, but I haven't had the best luck with scopes . Started out with a Counter Sniper scope. You remember, the military contract overrun model. I figured if it's good enough for our troops, it's gotta work well for me. I thought I was getting a hell of a deal for $1500, especially since retail was $4K. Worked well too. Only problems I had with that scope were when I dialed elevation or windage. Got rid of it and decided I can't go wrong with IOR and its Schott glass. Damn did the targets and wildlife look good through that scope. Didn't track too well and had to go back to Romania for repair, twice. It's now my spotting scope. Been saving my pennies for a Quigley Ford or Husqemaw, figured only an idiot could miss with those reticles. Been making due with a Lyman peep sight mounted to the Picatinny rail of my Tikka in the mean time. A nice, reliable scope sure would make this hobby a hell of a lot more enjoyable ;)

Congrats on being close to one million downloads. I know you put alot of work to make it happen and we all appreciate it. Love listening and sometimes can not wait till the next one is posted. Thanks.

    Meh, screw sob stories.

How about a "tell me how something you heard being discussed on the podcast has affected your shooting?" kind of approach?

Prove people are actually listening not just begging at the free scope tit.

I still listen to the first bunch of podcasts when driving to our property. Can never have enough refresher courses I find. Keeps the brain working right before I pull the rifles out and that's where it sometimes falls apart. Too much in a rush to pull a shot without thinking "easy does it". Can't wait to build my new house and come to Colorado for a class with Frank and Mike ?

    Congrats on the podcast!

How about a difficult question referencing an earlier podcast to show who has been listening....like, “what was the target size at 900 yards at the Alaskan class” or “what was the name I called the troll who won’t let MOA die“, or “what controls was I working when I crashed the millennium falcon”

Congrats on the milestone Frank. I appreciate what you and Dirty Mike do for the rest of the boys.

I'd be happy to make an entry to the sob story giveaway.

Preference for the forum over doing it elsewhere. I'm of the mindset that keeps the social aspect here instead of sending it to other domains.

I just started listening a few weeks ago. I've been downloading and listening in reverse order now. The commute to work is much better listening to Frank rants vs political ads for 14 minutes between two songs on the radio.

Sob stories usually end up being bullshit.

I agree with the “how has Frank’s EDS touched you” or “show me on the scope where Frank’s EDS touched you” idea.

You put out great content that straight up helps shooters, regardless of experience level. Don’t cheapen it by entertaining inflated sob stories.

The two biggest rules of shooting and life:
    ABL & ALC
...and the EDS allows peeps to keep up to par with both.

Young, in school, need a scope at the moment but waiting on school to stop so I can get a job to buy a nice one. I’ll switch the one nxs I have back and forth till I can work, then it’s only a matter of time.

Frank, I’ve been listening for about two months, I listen to the new ones and I’ve been binge listening to the early ones, some several times due to the amount of information presented. Listening to #86 as I type. I don’t need a free scope, but if offered I’ll make you a deal. Put your logo on the bell and ship it off to Regina for a new female shooter. I don’t know her, but have heard her speak twice and her passion toward this sport and new shooters has inspired me. “Make it so...”

Congratulations frank. It’s very well deserved. Your podcast got me into them and now I can’t stop. But yours is still my favorite. Listened to every episode so far. And I don’t plan on stopping.

As for the giveaway. I would love to win. But unlikely I will. Don’t have any great ideas. But I agree with what @M8541Reaper said. I think it would be a great idea.
