Ok, did a search. No results...Question: Is the PVA Comp 40 tripod compatible with RRS Ball heads (I am assuming an adapter plate would be required??)

Not to punk your thread but I put a deposit down May 3rd and still haven't heard anything... you get one from pva yet?
Yes! I have the anvil 30 on mine. (Type 3 I believe).
PS - I personally believe this is the best product that PVA offers.

Sounds promising! The Comp 40, which I already own, is solid...I'm disappointed with the ball I bought, it has too much movement in its base...Just thinking about something better, if I can't 'fix' that...Please let me know your results with the Anvil 30 and Series 3...

Comp 40 will work with all RRS Series 3 heads. Running an Anvil 30 on mine at the moment and it is awesome.
Josh is a smart guy, a great innovator, and can build good products. However, in my experience his biggest weakness is communication. If he doesn’t get that under control, and manage to provide accurate timelines, his business is doomed.
