So my plans are coming together, and I plan on SBR'ing my Howa Mini in .300BO/elf owl. Now, I'm looking at folder/mechanisms. I'm looking at the Samson S.A.S. , PMM Kate Moss , A3 7" offset , or the Jtac folder (which I don't think is available yet).
Now, I like the price of the Samson, but I'm not wild about the fact the hinge is aluminum (not sure if that's really an issue or not), and it looks like it could be long-ish.
The "Kate Moss" looks nice, and I like the fact that the Sig hinge is steel, but it's priced like it too.
The A3 looks nice as well. They use an Apex hinge mechanism, and I don't know much about them.
The Jtac looks cool and obviously would be a great fit on the elf-owl. It's expensive, but not bad when you consider it includes the hinge and is fully adjustable. It's just not available...
One thing I DON'T want is an AR buffer tube based folder.
