I have a 9 year old Maxpedition Jumbo LEO in Coyote Tan that was my Go-Bag in Iraq. I keep a lot of the same things in there and use it as a concealed carry bag. I bring it into the gym, regardless of whatever silly sign may be in the window. Sometimes I look around, at my old gym especially, and ask if I am in an ISIS recruiting center. It's a very soft target and homey don't play that.

It's not packed bulging, but I have 3 tourniquets, 4 Israeli bandages, gauze, Asherman chest seals, trauma shears, phone charging items, flash light, folding knife or 2, the afore mentioned "item" and 2 spare mag's.

It screams "tactical" but who cares.....there appears to be a much higher ex-military presence at my new gym and a lot of dudes have similar bags.

The Maxpedition bag is back with them for a warranty issue....not sure if they will repair, replace, or say sorry sucka......so I'm looking for options on a replacement. Would like to keep under $100 give or take. Does not have to be tactical looking but def don't want man bag purse look. I like the side slung carry, not a full on back pack.

Looking around but open to ideas or suggestions.

Thanks.

Hazard 4 has a grey line that is similar to other bags just less tactical looking.

I would head to a outdoor store and see what they have for hiking gear

Also go ruck has some bags that may fit

There is only ONE concealed carry bag!

I'm gettin' the Pig!

i'm always reminded of a very old man (now deceased) that always came around, he was also a WWII combat veteran in the pacific theater of operations......an old duffer, he always had a sun-faded well used beat to fuck gym bag......old school, something from the 60's or even earlier.....really non-descript picture homeless old fart transient bag man.

inside was a underfolder AK w/several mags.......old man john, i miss him.

Vertx bags and accessories (holsters, mag carriers, etc) are pretty tough to beat in this dept. Great variety of bags, so you will probably find one that fits your unique need. And, the quality is outstanding. I have been using Vertx Gamut Plus as my “briefcase” for the last six years, including lots of plane travel and it still looks great.

I enjoy my 5.11 Rush 12. They make a Rush 6 or 10 that you can sling on. I’ve heavily used my Rush 12 for about 6 years and just recently had to redo the main zippers with paracord.

Heavy use is college as a basic backpack and now use it as a duty bag in my patrol car. Good quality bag, couldn’t recommend them enough.

I have been using a Condor Sector Sling Bag and I like it a lot.. Before that I used a 5.11 Covert Backpack. I liked it too but I wanted something smaller and the sling bag is nice for Mass Transit..

Maxpedition accepted the return and it will be repaired or replaced under the warranty. As for their quality, it's made in Vietnam, and this is not the first failure I've experienced with Maxpedition. I had a handle come loose at it's attachment point on a heavier gearslinger pack....a Typhoon. I was overseas and fixed it myself with dental floss and Shoe-Goo.

The Vertx Transit Sling bag, also manufactured in Vietnam, looks to be what I would go with if Maxpedition said they would not warranty.

I have the light grey Vertx bag. doesnt look tactical at all. I been carrying it daily for a few years now to clients with laptop in main compartment in the Gamut Plus. G19, 2 spare mags, flashlight and blowout kit in hidden back compartment.
