Does anyone have info on contacting EGW? I've called and left a message (they said they'd call back) and I've sent an email. No response. I just have a couple of questions about a base and then I will GIVE them my money. If they would answer my questions. It can't be that hard can it?
Thanks,
Scott.

Re: Contacting EGW

Ask your question here... I'm sure someone will answer it. I have used a few EGW bases, and they all have worked out great. Good prices too.

Re: Contacting EGW

My main question deals with the F-class base and the Dual extended base. How much is the dual extended past a normal base? I know that the F-class extends 3" to the front.
The reason is, I have 8" on my scope tube for rings. I'd like to use as much of this as I can to get the rings further apart for more rigidity. Does this make sense or am I over thinking it?
Thanks,
Scott.

Re: Contacting EGW

It looks like the F class gives you about 3 inches of extra rail in front of the front action screws. The dual extended rail looks like an inch and a half on both sides of the action screws. In my eyes I would try to keep the rings closest to the action screws to reduce harmonic vibration through the front of the rail. Maybe my thinking is all off on this? If I were to use the F class rail I would have 3 rings on the scope, the two standard placed rings, fore and aft of the reticle and knobs, and one out in front on the extended portion of the rail. I would think this would be the best setup for rigidity. But then again I run two NF rings, a NF scope and an EGW base with no problems so far.

BMG,

I'm surprised to hear that they haven't gotten back to you yet.

I've been having quite a bit of back and forth conversation with George Smith (Very cool cat btw) via email. I don't think one of my emailed question's have gone unanswered more than 24 hours during the business week.

I'm assuming this is the email address you tried?

Maybe try another email.....God knows they seem to get lost/passed-over from time to time when things get busy around here.

Good luck,

Keep trying, some will answer eventually. I took me about 3 times on 3 different occasions to finally reach a human.

On a positive note, the lady on the phone was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful.

Re: Contacting EGW

I called them three weeks ago and spoke with George. He answered my question and I was taken care of very quickly. I've had no complaints and George didn't come across as someone who took my question for granted even though all I wanted was a set of base screws.

Call them again.
