The arc subtended by one MOA is equal to 0.291 that subtended by one mil at any specified distance. For example, at 100 yard, one MOA subtends an arc of 1.0472", whereas one mil subtends an arc of 3.6000". therefore, 1.0472/3.6000 = 0.291. Going from mil to MOA, the conversion factor is 3.438 (ie. reversed from the above example: 3.6000/1.0472 = 3.438).
