Suppressors convert a ruger mini 14 to an AC-556?

i'm not sure if i should have put this here or in the semi-auto forum. i figured there are more NFA people here than there.

a local guy is selling a 1979 ruger mini 14. S/N# 181-64xxx.

so my question is, can i legally convert it to full auto since it was made before '86?

also, is it even physically possible?

No it cannot be converted unless you are an sot

No. It doesnt work that way. Its impossible for an individual to own a full auto unless it was converted and/or registered before the ban 1986. Thats why they are so expensive.

If you want to go Full Auto, it would be easier / cheaper to find a registered conversion device for AR-15 as there is a lot more of them than there is NFA stuff for the Mini14 stuff.
Or if you want to be in the F/A in a big way, get a registered part for the HK roller lock system & enjoy F/A on a wide number of gun types
Either way, it is going to be expensive.

To do this legally you would need to be an 07 FFL with an 02 SOT.
