Anyone know any scientific info/study on how fast a suppressor cools with and without a cover?
Obviously there is a higher heat retention rate with a thick cover over a thinner cover over no cover.
I talked about it with an engineer discussing whether it would be better to have a cover that slides back over the barrel to let the can cool faster.
He mentioned that a great deal of heat should be moving from the can to the barrel as well.
Thoughts?
