Think how many out there in the sunny west have solar.....and what does that solar do ?
Yup, it feeds back into the grid.
Just because you turn the breakers off in no way means that the lines are dead....or even at low voltage.
Lots of things backfeed depending on how the system is wired, stay alive, always test first.
