Could use some help on a scope

Hey guys, thanks in advance for any advice. Here is where I'm at...

Just bought a LMT Mars-H 7.62x51 (will be buying the changeable 6.5 Creedmoor barrel as well) and need to add a scope.

I'd be lying if I say I'm going to be shooting much over 5-600 yards for the time being but do have a range that I can shoot 1000 yards not too far away. So I'm trying to decide what magnification I should go with. I was thinking a 4-20 (Khales, Nightforce or a stretch with the ZCO420) but do I even need that much for my intended use case? Not a hunting rifle, just something that I can have fun and be very accurate with. Open to ideas and suggestions.

4-20 should do fine.
Don't forget Tract optics as well, they make a very nice 4-20

5-27 Zco, it’s nice having more fov, eye relief, and magnification. If you can RO a Prs match, ask to look behind tons of glass and get hands on.

Never mind paying for quality, so 2000-3500.

This question depends too much on you personally. Go take one of your other rifles out there and look at the target at 1000 yards on different mag settings and decide what is enough. Resolution trumps magnification, but some people prefer the target to fill more of their vision regardless.

4-20x is my personal sweet spot, but I would also go ZCO 5-27 since you don't know what you want and hate money. You won't regret having more top end.

I like Nightforce Ultralight or Badger rings at about 1.50" height. There's no need to pay the cost/weight of a unimount in this application because you have a monolithic rail, so regular rings are great.
