Hunting & Fishing Coyote 17hmr

Picked up a new semi custom Ruger 17hmr and took it out on the farm this afternoon... just about sunset and on the way out when a Coyote came into the field...saw me and he continued moving toward me...moved the gun reeeaaal slow and shot him in the neck offhand at about 60 yds...amazing what a 17grn Hornady vmax can do...didnt have the camera with me..so no pics of this one

hasnt anyone told you you cant kill a coyote with anything smaller than a 243 ?

Oh hell yes!!! I have a Ruger M77/17 and its nasty. It has laid down many coyotes as well as other varmints. Keep it handy, its good for annoying crows, gophers, skunks and the like at 200 yds too. Enjoy it!!!

moderators here are a fuckin joke and need an extended wait to acquire and to top that you have to pay the tax of $200 per can. I wish that people could just look at moderators for what they are...simply a way to protect the shooters ears !!!

I did not/ cannot hunt in Connecticut with a moderator attached. (pics for affect only). Laws prevent one from safeguarding hearing in the State I live in by using a moderator...even the language is different...I call it moderator...ATF calls it silencer (wtf)

Although I hunt freely in Pennsylvania with a moderator....some States recognise the benefits...
