Hunting & Fishing Coyote calls?

Ive been killing quite a few coyotes in GA. I use the predator quest RUFFIDAWG calls and they seem to work well. My dad wanted an electric call and they had the primos power dogg call on sale for $100. I bought it. Has anyone ever used this electronic call if so let me know what u think.

Yea my ruffidawgs are loud but i have never used an e-caller. It would be nice to set one up 50yds away with a decoy instead of them running right at me. I guess we will see how he likes it christmas morning.

A dog popping up 10 feet away is half the fun....that was what hook my daughter on coyote hunting....one coming in at 200 and one standing 10 feet in front of her...she never got a shot off

and Dad wouldn't shoot it for her. Next time out showed her how to take one at 450 yards, setting braced on the knees, with only the neck and head showing above the sage...hit it right in the throat. Gotta love doggin...but would like to try an electronic caller but would probably go the Foxpro route as they are very well thought of (and high priced

hence no electronic caller yet)

I saw some reviews on the foxpro and they said the only advantage were the sound since u can download different ones.

Chip - the ability to have different sounds can play a big role in a hunt, especially with critters that have been hunted. Predators get call smart if called a lot and they learn to recognize the same old tunes. I have had then hang up out there a ways and got them to come in by changing up a little. The Foxpro is too expensive for me but a nice unit from what I have seen.

Foxpro scorpion and spitfire are excellent entry level calls...

the best customer service in the market and hands down best e-caller !

The flexibility of the Foxpro is what is appealing. You can program a routine or use mouth blown calls and call in a critter (cat, dog, or whatever) then switch on the mouse squeeks on a remote caller. It is not a bad thing to have the call a bit away from you especially when a cougar, bear or wolf may come to the call (a bit larger than a coyote, fox or a bobcat

)
