Look at this beauty the wonderful Fedex fairy just delivered.

20" .260 LH Gain Twist (8.75-8) +1 Gas system Bartlein.

Next up some Cerakote and then to put it together! Paul Craddock Fuckin Nailed it.

I just got off the phone with him & ordered a special contour 18" intermediate gas barrel on a Rock Creek blank..............1st dealing with him; said he used to work for WOA & thought he remembered me from dealings there.

If the barrel is as good as his pre-sales service, I expect I'll be happy as it was a pleasure to work with & communicate with him to get to the weight I wanted at the length I wanted.

I wish he went a little more so on the gain, 8.25 to 7.5 would have been money, but nice score either way.

I bet with a Valkyrie a 7 to 6 would be money the Service Rifle guys use a crazy twist for .223 service rifle, but I would bet with a Valkyrie it would be perfect

I thought about it but bartlein recommended this gain so. Since it’s my first foray I relied on their expertise. Might use it at the cup and I’ll bring to training so you can shoot it

Paul does great barrels, I’ve had some time with his handy work, you won’t be disappointed.

M855A1 is right in there too

Of course FGMM 77gr is also alright but seems to be right on the edge (1/8twist) at 0 degrees.

Paul put together my first service rifle when he was still with WOA when he started his own line he shipped me two barrel of his to test.it was 300blk and 223 and i still got both of it and shoot really nice...then i got introduced to this site called snipershide and i became bolt gun freak..the rest of the story you can find them in here :)

When do we get a range report??
took it out Sunday and shot a few old AMAX left overs 140s out of it. 41.5, 42, 42.3, and 42.5 H4350 which I got from here as good loads for the 22" barrel 6.5 semis,. I have also seen some at 40 and 40.5 . I was really hoping 42 shot well since I use it in the AI.

Well they all shot well. 41.5 and 42 was my favorite. I ordered some brand new quality brass and will load up some elds and will take it out again very soon.

DOnt get me wrong I like the SP10 and the GAP G2, but there is something extra special about building one up from scratch picking every component. I used Seekins new adjustable gas block with +2 gas and its wonderful.

Just ordered a 20-inch 308 Bartlein from Craddock. It was either that or a Krieger M110, but I've heard great things about Paul's work. Can't wait to shoot it!
