was runin and Gunin when I saw some yotes run from the brush at my 415 target after a ding on plate,I ran to position myself to shoot the lead yote as he ran across the open field,I threw the legs down as I ran and jumped on a dirt bank and I guess I put to much Ass into the prone bipoid position. It all went south after that ..

Re: Crash me Bipod !

No,, I was in motion when I mounted the rifle hard and fast and the whole dam rifle went flying down the otherside after the SNAP,I was ducking thinking this thing could go BOOM..It was a horrible noise as it went down the otherside..

Went south..

Lots of quality kit on that rifle. No doubt it can take a hit and knock the dust off. </div></div>

Re: Crash me Bipod !

Atlas are really well made, However you could also check out Roedale Bipods, don't pay attention to the price because Americans don't pay the 17% VAT. These things look like mech warrior legs.

Re: Crash me Bipod !

WEIGHT is a factor,I can handle stronger. But more weight to get it would not be worth it.

I will call harris and ask how much the replacement parts would be. anyone know a good contact or name at harris or a dealer with parts ?

You lost control of a loaded rifle getting into position and launched it down a hill?!?!?

Lucky nothing worse than a bruised ego ensued....

Re: Crash me Bipod !

Yes it was out of my hands in a second ,No dout lucky indeed, was a hasty move and would have paid off had I went slower/calmer.
Lesson learned, but its allways easy to look back at what went wrong, its what we do with what we learned is important.
