Hey guys, I’m wanting to get some feedback on cruxord tripods. I’m looking at the 42mm with their leveling base and riser with the arca clamp vs RRS TVC-43 with their leveling base and an arca clamp. I’m curious if anyone is currently running any of their tripods and how they like them. I know I can’t go wrong with RRS and the price point is pretty much the same between the two. I guess I just want to be different and try something new. What little I’ve heard about them has been good but there’s not much out there about them. I’ll mainly be using the setup to coyote hunt with but I’ll also use it for some precision shooting occasionally. Thanks for any feedback.

From my experience, the CruxOrd are way too heavy and overly intricate. They look cool from all the crazy machining but it yields no difference in ridgidity. RRS has smooth edges, super smooth function and without a doubt one of the best tripods to put a rifle on. The RRS Anvil 30 is designed with night predator hunting in mind as well as competition.

I have the Cruxord k06 setup (34 mm) and saddle. I haven't had a chance to field it yet, but it is solid. I actually met up with Brian Willingham, the president of the company, to talk tech specs. He was more than happy to allow me to nerd out and talk his ear off. I know my response doesn't help at all, but Brian is a nice guy. I'll report back when I get some real time behind it.

My hunting partner has the Crux Ord, and I have the RRS. We have had them both side by side, and honestly; there is zero difference in them. Both are as stable as the other. The biggest difference was noted in the ballhead used. Weight wise; it was a push. The biggest thing I saw was finding an apples to apples pricing, as the crux ord website was EXPENSIVE!!! Euro Optic had them (not sure if they still do), and at that point, the Crux was substantially cheaper.

I have an RRS TVC-33 and have had numerous issues with it. Currently there is one leg angular lock that refuses to stay put.....regardless of what you get, there can be issues.

In summary, buy which ever one you feel you want inside. They will both do what you need to do.

Do you know if the Cruxford is compatible with RRS Leveling bases and/or bullheads?
