I've been on a self-imposed boycott of that cookie cutter show for years (every episode is the same) but I just set my DVR to record the episode you referenced.
Every episode: Find dead body, bumble fuck around, violate the 4th amendment, harass people, collect sperm, then falsely interrogate somebody, and then scooby-doo ending.

I have to agree - very cookie cutter. Kind of like a soap operas. I can pick up in most any show and figure out where they are at figuring who the guilty party is by the music in the background.

Did they mention it in the context of a website or in the context of a shooter being in a "sniper's hide" site ?

Pretty sure it was in the context of 'some guy trying to learn how to be an urban sniper by visiting snipershide, you should check it out' and supposedly there is a screen shot of the webpage in the scene where its mentioned. It was briefly discussed in the shoutbox last night.

Yep, you can bet if they mentioned the Hide it wasn't in a positive context.
Those shows have done nothing but push their agendas ever since way back in the "Lou Grant" days.

Yep, you can bet if they mentioned the Hide it wasn't in a positive context.

NCIS did something similar a couple of years back. I reckon they do it in the belief it adds to their show's realism but the boys at NCIS screwed the pooch.
They sent a staffer to "the Internets" to do some research on Marine sniper jargon. He/she went to Sniper Central and came across a post from one of their mods, who had just bought a Bravo 51. He mentioned that he was naming his new rifle "Kate," which was the same name he'd given his M40 when he was in the Corps. So the story that made it to the show was that "Kate" was the nickname that all Marine snipers traditionally gave their rifles.
The very next day, mall ninjas in forums across the known universe were bragging that they'd named their rifle "Kate" because it was a Marine sniper tradition.

In the context SnipersHide was used, it doesn't bode well for the website because it means every nutbag who watches that show will want to see what our fair site is all about. In addition to that, it also garners unwanted attention from Big Brother.

I just rewatched it... the episode is named "hide sight", though it mentions "sniper's hide site" several times, it never mentions the internet or our hide... it refers to "the sniper's hide site" in the context of a FFP
