CTR bipod mount

I have a Tikka T3X CTR on the way and I’m looking for a way to mount my Atlas bipod on it. I had a CTR some years ago and I believe I had a rail mounted with the sling swivel stud that was not optimal but worked at the time.

Does anyone have a good solution besides replacing the stock?

A friend of mine use a Caldwell Pic Rail Adapter Plate with good results.

You will have to drill into your stock forend so you have 2 mounting points instead of one. You can use a Magpul rail section, atlas, etc. You will replace the bipod/sling mount with the appropriate threaded countesunk bolt, and then use that same bolt on the other mounting hole, but use a washer and nut on the back side. But be careful your bolts are to long or it will hit your barrel.

This is the one I have used you don’t have to drill the stock it doesn’t sit quite as low profile as I would like, but it gets the job done pretty good.
