That's called work product, holmes. It's proprietary to the business.

Re: custom .260 ammo

If bullet diam. is .264", and the space between the 2 shot and the flyer 3rd, How do you get a .236" group? 2 shots barely touching would be .264? Please correct me if wrong.

Come on, Chad gets the rifle in and tests it in house, as I understand it. Saying it's combo X, Y or Z means little if it's being fired in a specific rifle. We deal with this everyday here. What shoots well in your rifle might not shoot well in mine.

Chad's expertise is in testing his loads with a particular rifle. Telling people what that particular combo is, shouldn't compromise his business, IMO.

There are hundreds of .260 combos listed here: 139 Scenars, 140 AMAX, 142 SMKs, H-4350, AA-4350, 40.5-42grs, 210Ms, RP brass, Lapua 243 necked up, 7/08 necked down, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Perfectly said. On this one, I actually sent him the test loads to try. There is a general area you want to be in for most 260's with the 139-140 grain bullets to find the sweet spot. If you look around the 260 load data, you see the info all over the place. I just make my ammo to exact seating depths, keep the powder charge as consistant as possible, and keep the case necks as uniform as possible. For match ammo, I keep the powder to within .02 grains, or about 1 kernel of gun powder. You will not find any other factory or hand loaded ammunition as exact as that. (most handloaders use .1 grain scales) Consistancy from round to round is the key.

Re: custom .260 ammo

Chad,

What do you use for powder measure and scale?

I have all the components to burn the barrel on the 260 in AICS stock I am getting, but do not have the time to load and chrono work. And I have some neat reloading equipment in the house but I will probably send this rig and components your way if you can accommodate it.

Do you use client's components?

Re: custom .260 ammo

I use an Acculab-123 scale, with a powder trickler stretched out over it.
I can use any and all components that you have. As long as they are quality components, and the brass is all the same head stamp. When you mix the brands of brass, you get varying results, and the consistancy from round to round is lost. Just let me know.
Thanks!

Chad

Re: custom .260 ammo

Chad,

Will work out the logistics and component selection to your liking once I get back. For your proven combination, we can discuss openly here what you prefer for componentsor or you can PM me.
