I am looking for helping in finding a barrel maker that’ll build me a barrel for my SBR. I’m looking for 9” long 1:5 or 1:6 twist .300 blackout that can do a 25degree taper behind the 5/8-24 threaded muzzle (Q taper).
X-caliber is the only barrel maker I’ve found online for custom barrels, but never having ordered a custom barrel wanted to reach out for advice.

I forgot to add, what are the benefits of chrome moly over stainless for barrel material?

I'll say "in general" (because there is always an exception) stainless is more resistant to rust, easier to clean, and considered somewhat more accurate. Chrome moly may be tougher/longer lasting, more resistant to heat so often selected for full auto, and generally cheaper.

Another option is find a barrel blank with the desired twist and find a local machinist that will do small jobs on a hourly basis. I ended up doing that to make a ultralight (.500) dia. 17cal ar barrel 27” long. I’m not done yet and I’ve spent more money already then I coulda ordered through some cheaper companies, but mine is exactly what I want. I’m also extending the gas port out to 20”.
