Custom MRP barrels?

Does anyone out there offer custom barrels for the LMT MRP rifles? I emailed LMT several months back about getting a few barrel extensions and they won't sell them.

I thought I read somewhere that somebody did get the barrel they wanted but it involved buying one of LMTs barrels and cannibalizing it for the extension and ended up being quite costly.

What I'm after at the moment is a 11 or 12 twist 6.8 barrel. LMT says they have no interest in changing the to the twist or chamber spec. And I know that I could just have one of their barrels reamed to SPC II or DMR spec but from what I understand you still loose 100fps or so with the 10 twist vs 11-12.

I have heard of them being made on the 6.8 forums but was unable to find the post. I would like to get one like you with the updated specs for the 6.8 SPC. LMT should just change the spec for the 6.8 as they are about the only one that has not made the change. Still love the MRP platform.

I converted my MRP 6.8 SPC barrel to the SPCII chamber and it kept up with pretty much evey other 6.8 barrel I had. I'm sure you won't be able to wring out every single last drop of FPS out of it like you would on some of the slower twist ones, but it will still shoot every available factoy load, including the SSA combat loads. Most 6.8 loads are good out to 300 yards, even at commercial loads, so to me, what's the point of wanting and extra 50-100 FPS when that will just increase it out to 325 yards.

I hope LMT hurries it up on the MWS barrels. I think mine would run a bit more accurate with the 18" barrel.
