Hunting & Fishing CWD and processing meat

So its been a while for hunting and this CWD thing has my OCD kicked into overdrive (mostly because I am not much for rulebreaking). Last I knew, we cleaned it and dropped em off for processing--but thats been 30+ years.

Anywhoo--I see that you can drop off the head for testing, and it takes 10 days to get results. Do you have to wait for results before you drop off for processing? How does this all work? I can't really ask around because I work with people who frown upon suck things and thus am a closet case hunter.

No you have it processed but keep that batch of meat or that deer separate,if it comes back positive you know what me to get rid of

I do on my own so I’m not 100% on top of it but I’m sure they are well aware of it . I am next-door to a CWD county in Tennessee it will probably be here by next season.

Also I noticed our local volunteer fire departments have drop boxes for Whatever samples you leave.
