Hello,

its been a while since I've posted here, but I just received my 452 varmint from Hooper. He's shortened and threaded my barrel and installed a Badger bolt knob. This is a second bolt knob he installed on my CZ. Now I have them on my 452 American and varmint and they look and function great without any clearance issues with the scope. I will post pix in few days if people are interested.
I kept on asking him to make me a bottom metal/trigger guard as well so after a long time coming he has a group buy on the hide for them. They are stainless steel and probably available in white or cerakote finish. As soon as I get my trigger guard I will bed my varmint into a full size short action stock to match my 16" American and and do a write up. Good thinks are coming to CZ rimfire lovers.

Here are some pictures to give you an idea:

The soon to be twins. 452 16" American and chopped 452 Varmint (in wood stock for now). I'll do a write up of the stock mod when I get some time.

Thread protector. Eventually the rifle will get a green cerakote finish.

Plenty of room. I'm using a one piece 20 moa rail with low rings, which I will swap for medium since I can't use butler creek lens cover without touching the barrel.

Yes, it's a B&C light tactical short action. I have another one waiting for the action
to be bedded into.

Thanks for posting this Lou.

yes, I change the angle. The last third of the factory handle takes a dive outwards for the worst. I set the handle to an angle that is more on the line of the first 2/3 and sweep it back to that similar to a Remington700.

If you bolt does not have a solid handle, I sell a replacement. I pay about $50 direct from CZ for the solid handles.
Cost for the install is $90 and ship it back. So that is where the price comes from.

I have in the works a replacement handle of my design that is more robust, has a 12 degree rearward sweep and a straight / wide handle that accepts tactical knobs threaded 5/16x24 tpi.

Since I do not have a team of designers and machinists, getting stuff to market takes time.

I am hoping for a $99 price point.

Re: CZ 452 bottom metal and bolt knob install

Hi i have done a few with the TacOps conversians they make it easy on the hollow handles just cut the knob off and drill the stud and then silver solder it in and you are good to go. So that makes it a quicker mod if you have the hollow handles.

Wild Bill,

I'm interested in having my TacOps knob installed on my CZ 452, are you able to do it if I send you my bolt? If yes what is the cost and turnaround time?
Thanks,
Rath
