CZ 452 Lux + 10x42 SSHD mounting?

I will with very high likelihood pick up a CZ 452 Lux (24", with ironsights) .22LR soon.

I would like to mate it with a 10x42 SSHD for target shooting out to 100 yards.

For those who have done this combo before, what mounting did you use to clear the bolt handle/clear the rear sight?

It also looks like I'll need a comb raiser. I was thinking of the highest Triple K pad from Cabelas. Any recommendations?

I have a CZ 452 scout, with a SS 16x MQ, i think they are the same size as the SSHD I used a DIP extended Rail. Blackhawk High rings. It will clear your rear sight on your Lux, and leave enough room for the big eyepiece of the scope.

And as far as a cheek piece, i would build one, that goes on the stock with out drilling holes. Something like this

but instead of bolts threw the stock to get proper height, just build spacers to go under it, make the sides come in a little bit more than you need so it fits on there tight. My friend did that with his savage TR and it works great. after finding high wanted he built end caps for the cheek piece that follow the contour of the stock.

Thanks for that. I think I've settled on the 453 American, so the comb should not be as big a problem.

I'll go with the DIP rail.

I'm partial to one-piece scope mounts. Have you had any experience putting with an AI 30mm mount on this rifle by any chance? Is there any problem spanning the ejection port with a scope mount, or will that block ejection?

No experience with the AI 30mm mount, I did have a variable gantry mount on this rifle and it was catching brass. A few min with a dremal and a black marker fixed that problem

Now I just need to find a place online with a 453 Varmint in 22LR in stock.
