Thanks in advance for your help. Long ago I bought a CZ 452 rifle which shoots better than I do. IIRC, it came with 1" CZ rings which I used to mount a Burris scope on the rifle. The rifle will shift zeros unexpectedly after transit, leading me to believe that perhaps the CZ rings may not be as sturdy as they ought to be. The scope itself is at least 10 years old and has seen use on several rifles, and has held zero in other applications, so I do not suspect the internals.

Other than the rings manufactured by CZ, is any of you aware of another manufacturer of 1" rings which may be more sturdy for this application?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Stubb

Stubb, I've never had a problem with the CZ rings, that being said I did change out the base with a 20 moa rail and use Seekins rings for my CZ 452. I shoot this rifle almost daily so didn't mind the added expense. Very solid unit that always stays zeroed.

I use Weaver Rim Fire rings on my Military Trainer Version of the 452. I shoot different events requiring both irons or scopes. I can take off and put back on my scope without changing my zero. I push the scope right up against the rear sight to get it in the same place.

I'm using a Bushnell 4x that I took off another rifle when I first got the CZ thinking I'll put a better scope on later, the way it shoots, I'm not going to mess with it. If I get a good tight sling position, either in setting or prone, I have no problems cleaning the NRA 50 ft. Small Bore targets.

While I can't answer your specific question, what I did with my 452 was add a picatinny rail that fits over the factory CZ dovetail, I added some 30mm aluminum rings and a mil/mil scope for lobbing .22s out to 200 yards and making on the fly corrections. works good for me.
