I've gotten to the point where I have a bunch of 10 rd. CZ mags floating around in my bag for my 457. I'm hoping to consolidate them into an easier to manage "pouch". After searching for a while, I haven't been able to come up with anything that fits the bill. Anyone have any suggestions of a good mag pouch/folder/binder/etc? Looking for something that would keep 5-10 mags organized that could be thrown in my bag when I'm heading to the range.

Hefty slider freezer bag ziplock https://www.hefty.com/products/food-storage/slider-bags/slider-freezer-storage-bags

Or keep them in a pocket in your rifle case. That’s what I do. Can’t forget them (unless you, oh, decide on a whim to use that other case you own. That one, lying over there. Just for the heck of it. Not that I’ve ever done that.)

Or some random case or bag you’ve gotten free with scope rings, ear pro, or whatever.

edit: hmmmm rereading your post, it has dawned upon me that you might be a rather organized individual. I am not. So I’m thinking that the thought of casually tossing your mags into a ziplock willy-nilly might give you the heebie-jeebies. You might be looking for some hyper-organized solution. <bowing out>

Depending on how you want to store mags... it would’t be hard to make a couple of open top mag pouches similar to the buttstock pouch I made below. Velcro could be sewn on the back if you have something with loop to attach it to. Might whip one up as I’m only a mag or two behind you...

Yeah. That’s the ticket. In my head it is basically that with three pockets. Maybe each pocket is deep enough for two mags. Then there’s a flap that flips over to cover them.

That looks nice, definitely on the right track. If you make any updates or tweaks, please post here. I need a pouch as well

Full disclosure, sewing is not my full time job. I actually play a piano in a house of ill repute. In all seriousness, sewing is my secondary hobby behind shooting. I fly for a living and have developed a lot of my sewing skills making gear for flying or shooting I enjoy making items that fills a need. So, all that to say, sure give me some feedback and I’ll develop some pouches that work for most purposes.

Before I really entertain selling anything, I will talk to LowLight and make sure he’s aware of how it all came about. A few pouches aren’t worth pissing anyone off. Like most I’m here to learn about shooting skills and don’t really want to get kicked off the sight for a few bucks.

Thanks, Tom

Two suggestions. Molle attachment on the back would be nice. Doesn't have to be straps. Webbing where I can at least lock it on with a TacTie would be great. And then tan/coyote color. I know the latter is subjective. I just lean towards solid colors over camo.

For sure. No worries if it doesn't come to fruition.
