CZ 455 trigger options

I recently purchased a new cz 455 American and am wondering what good options are out there for the trigger. Looking for a 2lb pull as this will mainly just be used for evenings at the range and some squirrel hunting. Plan on putting about 500 rounds through it completely stock first to break things in. I was looking at the DIP adjustable sear and the spring kit they offer. Reviews seems good for both. I looked at timney and basics, reviews for those seem hit or miss. Any advice is much appreciated as always! Thank you

I was lucky in that my 455's stock trigger broke crisply out of the box. All I did was replace the spring to lighten the pull to 1lb for bench work. ~3000 rounds later, the trigger is as good as any of the Jewel or Timney triggers I have on other rifles.

Unless your trigger is absolutely awful, I'd put some rounds down the barrel and give it a chance. Perhaps install a Yodave kit to lighten the pull and tune out any minor creep.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I have a bunch of DIP stuff sitting in the cart, I just haven’t made the jump yet. Probably should, it’s only 100$ish

@mercracing DIP makes some badass stuff man. I bought an aluminum trigger guard and wide trigger for my marlin model 60 and it really brought the gun back to life. If the adjustable sear quality is anything like what I bought beforehand, it will be amazing.

Factory trigger is weight adjustable. The metal floor-plate inside the trigger housing is also a square open end wrench designed to turn the adjustment nut for the spring weight on the back of the trigger.

I've gotten mine down to about 1.6 lbs and is fairly decent with 7.5k rounds through it. If you go to low in weight then there is the possibility of pulling the bolt out of the action when cycling it as the trigger sear assy holds the bolt in place as there is no bolt lock release on the side of the action.

Whatever you do, dont take apart the trigger off the action unless you like chasing BB sized ball bearing around and swearing for a few hours trying to re-install it. After that amount of fun, if the trigger assembly ever comes off the rifle again I'm putting in a Rifle Basix or Mr. Fly trigger group.

If it doesn't have any creep I would keep the trigger and just put a lighter spring in it from Ace hardware or Fastenal. If it has creep, then that is a different story.

Ill likely get the trigger springs and extended mag release lever. We’ll see how it goes from there.

I have used YoDave, DIP adj sear and Fly on my CZ's. They can all get you an acceptable trigger. Unfortunately there is no drop in, super crisp, breaks like a glass rod at X ounces trigger for CZ's yet. The Fly is way to over priced for the sort of mushy feel you get but it does adjust <16oz. YoDave is just spring change and spacer tubes to eliminate creep (least expensive option). If I personally do any more CZ triggers it will be with the DIP adj sear until someone comes out with that drop dead trigger option HINT HINT Timney, Trigger Tech etc etc.

Recalled by CZ due to ignorant owners
adjusting the primary pull to less than 2 pounds
rather than the set bite which can be
adjusted to where it can release just by

Had a YoDave that was great, until the bolt started to come out. Timney trigger since then and it has worked great. I think it really transforms the rifle. My stock trigger was pretty creepy and heavy.

If I feel the trigger needs work after a break in period I’ll prolly try the DIP products. Never been disappointed with the quality of those
