So, I have decided to move forward with the rifle stated in the post title.

According to my research, this will be a huge step up from the ruger 1022. The reviews regarding out of the box accuracy, etc. are very encouraging.

I plan to get one in .22LR, with the Manners T4.

Im super excited! Now to find a good deal!

Anybody have a lead on the best deal out there?

That should be a fine rifle but just as a heads up I can almost guarantee that you will make the most common mods. DIP, the company, is your friend along with many others( I don't work for DIP).
Trigger, low tech with just a YoDave spring kit or DIP sear or maybe a Timney drop in.
Picatinny rail, an adapter rail to get past the metric dovetail on the receiver. Really opens up your choices for rings.
And if your really obsessed, pillar bedding.
    Enjoy and good shooting.

Check out the 419 scope rail for the 455. I got one that had a DIP rail on it, and it didn’t have the spread to fit my Razor that I’m scope sharing with. Also, after taking the DIP rail off, I prefer the clamping style of the 419 vs the set screws that DIP uses.

Agree with the above mentioned upgrades, I just did them on a new CZ 455 Tacticool. Biggest upgrade which I think is a must is the Anarchy Outdoors swept bolt handle with whatever knob you like. Action cycles so much better and no ground off knuckles from hitting scope.

Nice! I have a Glades Armory bolt handle on one of my CZ455s, but it's so tight that it doesn't allow the bolt handle to fully drop into the bolt cutout in the stock. The rifle it still fully in battery, but unless you use some force (nothing crazy, but more than normal), it doesn't fully drop in. This may be worth a try! The website isn't clear, but I assume you have to buy the bolt knobs, or does it include all the options pictured (doubt that)? Thanks!

I didnt not buy glades after all the negative feedback. Anarchy outdoors bolt handle is a perfect fit and works great. No you buy your own knob from them or anywhere you want.

Yeah, I got the Glades off the PX here for a decent deal. It works, but again, is too tight. I'll probably just file that one down and cold blue it or something, but the other CZ455 I have on the way will need one, and this looks like a much better option. I assume that the threads are common 5/16x24?

    Yes, knob is standard 5/16-24

What barrel length do you guys recommend? I like the looks of the 24'' and I want it to feel as similar to my competition gun but will the 20.5'' out perform it?

I went with the 20.5" for looks. I realize anything past about 18" is no longer doing me any favors, but right now a supporessor isn't on the table (we've been in a limbo mode of possibly moving for awhile, so there's no point in starting a transfer right now until we know). The shorties look goofy to me, so the 20" was a good compromise. Get what makes you happy, you're the one who has to live with it. A 24" would still be a fine rifle, but aside from looks, it's not getting you much else.
