So I was thinking about getting a bipod for my 457 but not sure which to get. I know the harris s-brm will fit it but can it be modified for a different attachment type if I decide to change stocks?

As mentioned above Area 419 rail with Atlas CAL bipod

yes, I put an ARCA adaptor on my Harris. You need to make sure you get the swiveling Harris

Had to have a buddy do some drilling to make it fit

Yes you can modify the Harris to fit a pic or Arca rail.

I think the Harris is a good place to start, fairly cheap and does the job.
It used to be if you wanted a cheap bipod you buy a Harris, then upgraded to an Atlas bipod if you were a real operator.
But now with so many good (expensive) options that all do things slightly differently you really ought to know what you want out of a bipod before dropping some serious money on a flash bipod.

Thanks. I ordered a Harris.

Yes, if you go with a Harris you can get a adapter such as the RRS Pro Clamp which will accommodate both Arca and Picatiny.
The one caveat with doing this however is the variable tension adjustment you have for tilt is almost non-existent due to the design. It's either locked tight or sloppy. I've owned this set-up in the past and due to this shortcoming quickly switched to an Atlas Cal, where you can keep that feature entact when switching the attachment clamp.
