will try to get some pics tomorrow-need to learn how to do that here anyway. i got a CZ 550. it is not marked "american" or anything else. 308. i assume 1/12" twist. barrel is 24 3/4". quite heavy config. about 7/8 dia. @ muzzle. the stock is a sporter. no way it could be called a varmit or tactical stock. it is wood. i see nothing on the current cz site except a hunter long range which is only in 300WM. likely a D/Ced model? any ideas? thanks.

Re: CZ 550 id help

I have the cz 550 varmint for almost 5 years. Very good rifle for the price. Very accurate but heavy. The walnut stock is very good, I don't see any reason to change it. Here is my beauty. (nice stock, isn't it)

Re: CZ 550 id help

oh,as an aside,i may have gotten lucky for a change.i bought it at a local show as used. i saw it was in vg+ shape. got it home and took a good look at bolt face and it is totally unblemished. ran a patch of #9 thru the bore and nothing. no carbon, copper, not even a bunch of dust form sitting around. bore is literally a mirror. so,i truely believe this gun is unfired.
