Does anyone have gunsmith recommendations for having a CZ P-01 slide milled for a Trijicon RMR?

My father has a P-01 that he wants to put a red dot on, and he’s tried a mount that uses the rear sight’s slot, but it hasn’t been as sturdy as he likes. He’s had to readjust the sight regularly, so he’s thinking about having the slide milled.

Before a P-07/P-09 recommendation is made, he wants to stick with the P-01 because he likes the metal frame and the ergonomics.

I’ve seen a few videos by MK3 Firearms, and it looks like they do good work. Does anyone have experience with them, or some other shop?

If it's for your father, send it to Cajun Gunworks for him and while they are milling the slide, have them do their full Pro package upgrade on it.
he'll be amazed at how much of a difference that makes in the way the pistol shoots and feels.

It's well worth the $450
Mine listed above has the pro package installed myself.

Lots of YouTube lol.

That trigger is very nice and feels just as well as my shadow custom.

I’ve come across mixed reviews for Cajun Gunwerks’ slide milling. I don’t know if those reviews are valid, but it had me wondering about going with their internal work followed by someone else’s slide milling.

Primary Machine fitted an RMR/SRO plate on my 75BD. The P-01 slide is exactly the same as the 75 between the back of the slide and the ejection port.

They do superb work.

Another vote for impact machine.
I've used MK3 in the past and they do amazing work. I believe for an rmr footprint on czs they would mil it for a plate. Or atleast that's what I recall them saying several years ago when I had them work on an sp01 for me.
The 75 and its variants (P-01, 75D PCR/compact, SP-01, SP-01 Phantom, SP-01 Shadow) all have slides that are too narrow for Trijicon optics. They need an adapter plate that whoever mills the slide also needs to make.

Scott just direct milled two slides for me and he was great to work with. I've sworn off chi com holosun (but I like the one that I have), so I'd look at the RMRcc. If you don't mind a plate, Joe Chambers' plate is the best option IME.
