Does it actually serve a purpose or can the rifle be ran without it?

Basically, the CZ452 was being put into a Boyd’s stock. The guy overtigtened the wood screw and it snapped off inside the stock.

Therefore, the two action screws on the trigger guard are torquesdto 25 lbs holding the trigger guard, but the wood screw is broken and not holding anything.

Will this affect accuracy or functionality?

If you can get the screw out you can use DIProducts screw repair kit 19027. Use beeswax, bar soap or Lloyds akempucky screw lub on the wood screws. Make them easier to drive.

Similar happened to me, except the cheap pot metal screw snapped off during the removal. I was pulling the Boyds stock to bed the action and pop. The damn thing is buried deep.

I’m looking at drilling it out to about a half inch and bedding a female stack stud in there, if I can find the right size screw to work.
