Just wondering if anyone one the hide is threading bolts for the cz455.
I’ve been looking around at Glades but I don’t want a big ole giant honking bolt knob on this rifle. I would love to find one with something like the badger mini bolt knob or something close to that size. If anyone knows where I can get one already done that’s (in stock) I’d appreciate it.

Thanks,
Luke

I used to do this work, and like previously posted by DXT, required the "Solid ball" handle. Then CZ changed their casting method on handles and put the hole in there. Now if I wanted to machine these new handles I'd have to TIG weld up the area for the threads--cant machine metal that isn't there. That extra work makes it a non-starter for me now, too bad. I charged $65 on an exchange basis, or $100 for a complete new handle, no core. My price also included the pictured knob and the finish was cerakote graphite black.

my conversion next to the "new open ball handle" CZ provides today:

makes quite a difference in running the bolt:

A new knob can be done with ease on handles with the hole in the end. When the glades handles first came out I was super happy as they are cost effective and would save a bunch of time. One issue is the change in headspace but when your custom fitting a barrel (which I did on all of them) this was no problem. This could definitely be an issue for those using factory Barrels or drop ins (accept a Lilja shim barrel). The other issue was these handles wouldn’t work on all actions (bolt not cocking, sticking on the up swing, bolt bot fitting in the gun etc). Would be nice if someone could make one that would work 100% everytime without having to do any work on it (at that point just might as well do the knob).

Just in case anyone is still following this post... I ended up sending my bolt to (fastford) one of the members on he recommended him. So I contacted him and went from there. After talking with him on what I was looking for he sent me some pics of different size bolt knobs that he has and this is what I ended up with.

If you don’t like the bolt knob I chose he does have about 6 different ones to choose from. He did great work and great communication.
