CZ527 and AICS mags

I would very much doubt it. I own a .204 Varmint CZ and that action is “micro” compared to my Rem 700.
Not saying it’s impossible, but…
I am working on a howa mini to run aics. Aside from the bottom metal, you will need to modify mags as the bottom port is shorter.
Looking at the photos, it doesnt look like the mag/lips will clear the bottom port and you’d need to machine the action…
CZ 527, you’ll lose front action screw and/or screw that holds trigger in place to get AICS in receiver.
Additionally, magazine is wider than receiver at mag cut out.
Put AICS mag by Howa Mini and have similar but different issue.
You’ll lose feed ramp on front.
Move mag back, you’ll need to start hacking on part of the trigger assembly.
I don’t see either the CZ 527 or the Howa Mini being able to utilize a AICS type 223 magazine.
Maybe a Borden Super Short AICS type mag but the AICS 223 is just too long to fit in available space.
If you can shoehorn in a AICS mag to either action, you have better skills than I.

Yep, the well on the howa is wide enough for lips on metal mags. I’ve resolved the length issue with the Howa by using a spacer at the front of the mag, still working on the follower, as getting to feed reliably has been a problem.
Wellllllllll...... i might have something for you. Came across it randomly. I love the Howa actions, one of my favorites. I was stoked when they annouced the mini actions and 6.5 grendel was one of the calibers as it is one of my favorites. Hell it is the caliber i built my first AR15(which i really need to get around to posting a thread about in here). But i was so bummed when I saw the weird plastic mags and front mag release. As long as you arent using a chassis, there is an option. The only thing is i dont know how viable it will be in the future as CZ is discontinuing the 527.
