I can't believe someone got video of this and put in on YouTube. I hope it does not hurt the sales of this new optional feature. Please keep in mind that this is the very first prototype and production versions are much smaller, faster and quieter.

Aw, you beat me to it. Wish I remembered more. I'm pretty sure the term "bad-ass glass" was mentioned at least once.

At least it wasn't mandarin. Then we would all be like I just order a scope and now I don't know if it is counterfeit or not

Wait a minute, the new SS 5-20 doesn't come with that feature......, please cancel my order.

This is ridiculous, first a year long delay from the promised delivery date, then we find out that SWFA isn't shipping tampons with orders and the straw that broke the camel's back, NO extremly loud and cumbersome electronic side focus.

This is why I'm never doing business with SWFA again.

He has is mounted to an air rifle, and when you shoot FT you use your Parallex knob for ranging. When it snaps into focus, you have your target range, then use proper hold over or clicks. It's generally done with 24x or higher powered scopes.
Yea, I was let down it wasn't a video of the new SS scope, Hint, Hint.

Just one baby step at a time. One day we'll have a scope that you only look though and it will do all the calculations and make adjustments for you. Hell there might already be such a beast.

I'd stop shooting. Where would the fun be? As a tool it would excel. As a toy it would get kinda boring.

I wonder how that would work out at a comp where everyone had the same rig. I'd guess they'd all be winners with perfect scores. But it'd make the prizes a lot smaller split evenly so many ways (LOL).

Its already out, It is a DARPA funded project called one shot.

The scope displays the crosshair digitally based on the readings from the system. It uses a laser to not only range the target but also calculate the wind hold. Its a crazy system designed to give the shooter a better than average first shot hit in the field.
