Just made a deal for one locally, will pick it up tomorrow. Looks to be in 95% or better shape. Research says its a hell of a nice piece. Anybody familiar with them?

yup. they are superb revolvers, WAY ahead of their time. the actions are built so you can take it apart with a minimum of tools and use some of the screws holding it together to disassemble. the barrel system they had is pretty damn awesome. along with the front cylinder latch and rear ball detant. interchangable front sight. i had a 715 monson, it was a gorgeous gun. built to shoot.

Just picked it up last evening, really sweet. Not quite as smoot as the Python I had and like a fool sold but nice, Smooth breaking trigger. Looking forward to putting some rounds down the tube this weekend.

I have owned a couple 15-2VH revolvers. Absolutely love them.

I have 2.5", 4", and 6" barrel for this and 4 different grips. It was a posthumous gift from my FIL after I pawned the one I originally bought in 1976 for food money. He bought me this one and hide it under his bed and my MIL told me to go get it.

    I'll never lose this one.

Me too...somewhere I have a picture of my Dan Wesson 15-2VH wearing a 4" barrel/shroud in a range box with a 4" S&W M19 and they have matching grips on. In my opinion, two of the best revolvers I have ever shot/owned/operated.

The Dan Wesson guns with the front locking cylinder and with the barrel being tensioned at the muzzle are dead nuts accurate and really nice long range revolvers. Add hand loaded .357 and Hogue grips and they really shoot as good if not better than any revolver I have handled.

CZ bought Dan Wesson and started making new revolvers in that old style:

Apparently they are everything the originals were.
