Daniel Defense .........Which scope would you recommend?

I started with a Savage Axis in 6.5 Creedmoor.........was so happy with it, when I saw Ruger come out with the RPR in 6.5, bought one and was DELIGHTED!

Now I'm thinking of stepping up further to the Daniel Defense Delta 5 in 6.5 Creedmoor, at about $2650, and wondering what scope to put on it. I have the Nightforce SHV 4-14x50 F1 on my Ruger, and while I've been mostly happy with it, I am wanting to step up my optics as well with this DD.

What scopes might you recommend in the $1500-2500 range? I'm mostly a target shooter but want to be able to nail zombies if they ever come down my road. And with zombies I always think the further away I can put them away, the better. My road is about 0.9 miles long.......

Thanks for your help!

$1500 - $2500 Range not necessarily in order...

Leupold MK5 HD
Nightforce NX8
Bushnell Elite
Burris XTR III
Vortex RZR

With the details of power, reticle, MOA/MIL, pick your poison there but those are all nice optics in that range...

At that price range are are a lot of options

For both the rifle and the optic.

Why the DD?

What do you like and dislike about the SHV?
I've respected the good feedback on the DD I get when I run into them at the ranges.......which is not all that often. But people that own them sure seem to like them and do well with them. I particularly like the 0.5 MOA guarantee on the one I'm looking at, along with it being a cold hammered barrel which reportedly lasts longer.

On the NF SHV I'm not crazy about the glass, even though it's about the best I have alongside several Vortex and a Leupold, among other lessers. Perhaps I'm expecting it to improve my 70 year old eyesight? Doesn't work like that, I know. It's taken me out to 1350 on my RPR 6.5 CM, so I don't mean to belittle it at all. But I'm wanting something that will improve my consistency at range, and also take me out further on other rifles. I'm a fair weather shooter, haven't learned the wind yet, so I need every bit of advantage I can afford. Use Strelok Pro and that keeps me in fair shape as I learn to use it better.

Yes, there are tons of options, at all price ranges, and that's part of my problem, even with all the reviews and help the web provides.

Thanks kindly for any suggestions!

Thanks, all nice scopes.

Your first two listed are probably leading the pack right now.

Do you know if the NF NX8 is one of their domestic produced scopes? I know my NF SHV is Japanese made. Country will be a consideration but glass/price will be the deciding factor, as best I can compare them.

Thanks again!
