Im am about to buy my first pair of Danner Acadia's, but I am having to buy them thru the mail. Before I get them I just wanted to know if their sizes run true? Is a size 12 really a size 12 or is it a 11 1/2. I would really hate to have to send them back and wait all over again. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Danner Acadia's

Hey HOG.

Danners pretty well run true to size. I bought my first pair of acadias in 97 before SOI and never looked back. Had probably 6 pairs since and resoled a few now. You won't be dissapointed.

Re: Danner Acadia's

My experience is they run a bit narrow. I just pulled mine out that I've had since the 90's, but they're so worn I can't even find a size marking on them. Third set of soles too.

Re: Danner Acadia's

It depends on the model. I have the TFX and I have to wear them in a 10 which is my true size. I also have two pairs of Acadias and I wear a 9.5 as far as length goes. So I would say the Acadias run a half size small.

Re: Danner Acadia's

They're great boots. I'm on about my 4th or 5th pair. Not from wear but because the agency I work for gives us a clothing allowance and I get a new pair at least once a year

They seem to run true to size for me but I think they do run a little narrow though.

Re: Danner Acadia's

I bought mine online and they fit perfect...10W. I was told that anything with roughout leather would only last one year of hard duty(manufacturing really can't do much about this) but I am on my fifth year(winter season) of wear. During the summer/fall/spring I tend to wear my really lightweight boots that have been refurbished by www.militarybootrepair.com
I loved the way they fit and worked out so much during the lighter seasons in Afghanistan that I have had them rebuilt 'new' before OEF VII, and have had themn resoled once, and am getting ready to resole them again soon. The air soles are the cat's ass!

Re: Danner Acadia's

Ok I got my boots. Sure enough they were to narrow. I went to the website and printed out the return sheet, I overnighted the boots and paperwork to Danner. About noon the next day Customer Service calls and says were are out of the color I wanted but they have the size 13 EE. I chose another color and had the boots the next day. THEY ARE THE MOST COMFORTABLE BOOT I have ever put my feet into. THEY ARE THE LAST BOOT I WILL EVER BUY.
Thanks guys for the responses.

I also found them to run slightly narrow
