Dash Cam info or You Scratched my Anchor!

My dash cam is about 5 years old and has served me well. I had a near miss and the video file is corrupted... so its time for a new Dash Cam.

I'm debating either a 2 camera - Front and Rear or a 3 camera- Front Rear and interior.

You buy a fancy cable and the dash cam records while parked. The cable detects battery voltage and shuts the recording off so you never have a drained / dead car battery.

the interior cam is about catching people who bump the car when parked...

I'm considering.

I keep my car deductible high, so the camera help show who is at fault...

Maybe its just me but too many people have silly low deductibles and claim every little thing. I own a high risk business, I have never had to make a claim on my business insurance and I keep the deductible high. Hell last week I added another 5mil umbrella for a specific reason.

Yet my rates never go down

As former LE I always liked having tape running!!
I may have to look into it.

We have Garmin 66w dash cams in the vehicles. I buy a SanDisk 64GB Ultra UHS-I microSDXC Memory Card for them @ Walmart.
Couple of the Garmins, I bought the kit so they are wired to be on 24x7.
The rest are just plugged in to a power source that powers up when the vehicle does.
Simple to use & program.
Daughters just "paid" for 3 of them, car hit hers, totaled, of course their insurance said it was her fault.
She sent her Garmin recording of the incident to her agent, other insurance company backed down and is now sending daughter a check….
