Night Vision DBAL Clone with Armasight Gen 1 OPMOD

I know this stuff may be considered bargain basement, but for my purposes (hog killin' at night) it seemed to fit the bill.

About a year ago, I purchased one of these to go on top of my Winchester Model 70 300 Winchester Magnum. So far so good. Haven't had any problems with it yet and it seems to hold zero pretty well. It included IR illuminator works quite nicely too.

It only has about a 300-yard range, though. So I decided to augment it with one of these little gizmos. A DBAL-A2 clone

I figured the IR laser would give me at least a couple hundred extra yards of shooting range. I probably should have checked into it here before I bought it, but it seemed like a decent deal for the price. Anyway, anyone out there got any thoughts on this? I can still cancel the order if I need to. I really didn't want to cough up $800 or so for a civilian-version DBAL.

Ya get what ya pay for. With amazon you can always return it. eBay has a bunch ranging from $50 all the way up to $800. Look into the peq-15 knock offs too. Personally I would never use that airsoft stuff, but I am in no position to go in my backyard and shoot hogs either.

Edit: I just noticed it was shipped from Japan. Chances are you are going to have the big boy class 3a lasers in it. Be careful where you shine that thing. It only takes a second to blind someone with a high power laser.

I'm trying to dig up laser specs ATM. Problem i forsee isn't laser power, but maintaining any sort of zero. If you're only concerned with the illum though, should be fine.
