De-linking ammo from a belt. 50 cal.

I recently got about 60 rounds of LC 50 cal ammo from a friend. It is linked and I need to get it loose. I have never de-linked a belt of ammo before and am trying to figure out the easiest way to do it.

Anyone have any tips?

load into maduece,pull back chargeing handle,press paddles..........

pull from the primer end of the round, it will be tight but will slide out.

AS YOU PULL IT REARWARDS GIVE IT A TWIST & IT WILL COME STRAIGHT OUT.

you wont tear it up...might get a little scratch on the case but even then i doubt it

there are long links also that go to the base of the case....them are a bitch to de-link

I HAVE DELINKED MANY HUNDREDS OF THESE IN MY TIME , IT'S FINE ONCE YOU GET A RHYTHM GOING TWIST PULL THROW AWAY THE LINK & PULL THE NEXT.

De-linking .50 brings back memories.

It's amazing some of the shit you can do with the powder from tracers (no tracers through the M82A1A).

What can you do with it?

Don't shoot that ammo. Really. Don't even consider it. Hang fires in a 50 can really fuck up your whole day.

Ever pee in the snow? Same concept, but with sand and fire.

Bored Marines and gunpowder is never a good thing.

As far as tracers through the fifty. That was just our SOP. Supposedly it burned the barrel out faster. I dunno if it's true but the only time we were authorized to put tracers through any of the rifles was to mark targets. Shooting them for fun wasn't an option.
