Is Dead Air's Keymo QD system a relatively consistent way to add and remove a suppressor from a rifle? I'm under the impression adding a can to a rifle is going to cause a point of impact shift. But is it possible to have a quick detach system that is a consistent enough way of attaching a can that the POI shift is the same each time the can is removed or attached. Or is that impossible?

It does go back to zero every time from my experience, however so do my direct thread cans. I like my Sandman s quite a bit on semi's, but keymo does add weight and there are lots of good options now.
Keymo is my favorite QD system and is absolutely repeatable. Of course it does come at a cost (money and weight). As mentioned above you can get repeatable results with direct thread and other attachment methods. I have found the Keymo to be the most supported and easiest to use of the QD mounts I have used.
Your name suggests you might shoot .338LM through your Keymo. Do you feel Keymo does a good job of taking the punishment of .338?
I haven't had much chance to test it yet. I do have the new Nomax and I've installed the keymo but winter has kept me from confirming. I'm confident it will be just as accurate with the 338 as it has been with everything else to this point.
ETA: I've tested at 100 yards off the bench and accuracy was very good.
Yes, it's a consistent way to mount a suppressor. It's heavy, bulky, and expensive, but it is strong and consistent in POI from my experiences.
Almost all rifles will have POI shift when running suppressed vs. not suppressed, regardless of the can, barrel, cartridge, etc... Good suppressors and mounting systems the POI will be pretty much repeatable.
And you regularly remove and reattach your can and always know where your POI is base on whether or not the can is on or off?
Yes… Because I only shoot suppressed. But I do remove them regularly for cleaning and while at the range.
However, I wouldn’t use KeyMo on a precision bolt action rifle. I’d use it on AR’s and Ak’s (semi auto). On precision rifles I direct-thread.
Because direct thread has a more consistent POI shift when removing and reattaching than Keymo?
No, because KeyMo is heavy, bulky, and unnecessary and the extra weight of the KeyMo system throws barrel harmonics and balance off, more so than lightweight direct thread setups.
