The following note was left on my desk by a co-worker's seventeen year old daughter:

"Dear Lord,

This year you have taken my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze.
You have taken my favorite actress, Farah Fawcett.
You have taken my favorite singer, Michael Jackson.
I just wanted to let you know that my favorite president is
(redacted.)

Amen."

Maybe there is some hope for our youth after all.
