Re: Dear Lord
Through week 6, it looked like they were on a good track to approach last year's 10-6 season, in spite of obvious weaknesses and the lack of cohesiveness due to the absence of training during the lock out.
The imbecile penalties and predictable, unimaginative and ineffective offensive plays have once again left the defense on the field for two thirds to three quarters of each game.
Should be interesting to see this play out as Coach Raheem Morris is clearly under a microscope. As he's also the Defensive Coordinator it is believed the owners are paralyzed until the end of the season, otherwise he might already be gone.
I never liked Gruden but felt he was qualified. Morris seems talented but still woefully inexperienced, unproven and has overloaded himself beyond his ability.
Hell, he'd only been a defensive backs coach for three seasons (His only coaching experience!) when they made him Defensive coordinator in the wake of Monty Kiffin's departure in '08'.
A few days later, when Gruden got canned, they bumped Morris to head coach!
In the Hope and Change hysteria at the time (January 09) few people spoke plainly about the very real possibility that the Buc's owners were little more than cynical cheapskates, playing on the momentum of the politics of the day.
It is spoken more often now.
