I used R19 and was pushing the 75 V-max at max, and it shot great. I don't recall the load, but it was just a touch over book max.

I use R15 for my 18" 243 and 75gr vmax. 44gr of R15 shot very well using Winchester brass. 43.5gr using Lapua brass.
R15 is very similar to Varget. Might try to slowly work up to near those loads.

Take this for what it's worth but don't forget Lapua brass doesn't show the same signs of over pressure as easily as does other brands of brass.
45grains of Varget in a 243 w/75vmax isn't just a hot load it's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy over max and I'm not talking reloading manual max but PSI max.
With that hot of a load you aren't giving yourself any room for error and we all know powders vary from Lot# to Lot#. I would hate to see you get a hotter batch of powder or a warm day and wreck your gun or worse yet, hurt yourself.
Food for thought is all.....

I was shooting sub 1/2 MOA with 75Vmax out of my .243WSSM at 400+ with a very very mild load. Only 35gr of Varget running about 3150.
Different case obviously and a mild load, but accuracy trumps velocity in my book so I never bothered pushing them faster. I wouldn't be afraid of meat damage on big game with those bullets, each one I've taken left 2" entry holes and jello on the inside.
Little pills still kill.

I hammered a couple does with 75 vmax (25-06) at about 3100, clean pass through and destroyed both shoulder bones.

Interesting to see some of you guys running at 3100-3200 fps range, I tried another load this time with 41g varget, Lapua brass and ccibr with the molly 75g vmax, oal was 2.620in average vl was 3240 fps, Interesting to note accuracy at 250y was exellent 1 inch group with very low es-sd, drop had almost doubled to 6in from 100y zero from hot 45g load, Will settle for lighter load and increased barrel life, 45g Load seems to offer explosive expansion on impact over the lighter 41g load.

I couldn't get varget to group with my .243 so I went with 43gr. of H380 in front of the 75gr. V-Max, CCI LR with consistant 1" groups out of a 22" medium contour barrel. Average of 3264 fps.
Not Lapua brass, just standard winchester so the info I've provided you may be worthless. CD
