While I have never done it, I know that my friend has hunted WV Whitetail deer with it from a fixed position blind using 5-rounds linked (private property). I have seen the pics of the deer he killed with it. As I recall, it was approx. a 150yd shot and it only took one of the 5 rounds. Of course, he joked that 99% of all West Virginian hunt deer with a .30-06 (wink, wink...nudge, nudge)!
Having shot the thing a bunch, as well as mounting and dismounting it from the tripod...I can assure you that there is no way in hell I would haul the @#$%^&* thing around in the woods. Fixed position...ok. Walking hunt/stalk...HELL NO!</div></div>
You know I started this thread as a joke to just post some pics of a new toy I picked up so My buddies could see it. But after getting this gun I have heard a shit ton of stories like this saying the accuracy on these things are phenominal not firing in full auto. I haven't gotten mine out yet till the tripod and pintle T&E set up shows up but after checking the barrel and rock solid design I dont see why it couldnt shoot well. Deer hunting...well maybe I'm a weirdo but I could see using it mounted to a hard stand. Hell, might have to mount a Countersniper on it now
