What about a bow? It's not discharging a firearm....

My dad emailed me and said that the deer were cleaning out the bird seed from the feeder on the front porch last night they're so hungry. I guess they're coming up on 36" of snow in the last 2 weeks in the Poconos.

Great pics
We live at the outskirt of a leeetle village in Bavaria. Our house is surrounded by an orchard. This orchard is the prefered breakfast place for o roe. For the last four years she brought her fawns along. Sometimes i see tracks going round our house, down the lawn to the veggie garden of my mom. It seems she is checking weather the door is open, to get at the real good stuff. Mostly it is closed, so they just eat our flowers. My neighbour has the hunting licence for our area, his Jack Russel must have some Hyena in his ancestry. One early morning our roe walks around our house, crosses the street to my neighbour and starts feeding on the flowers over there. All the time the Jack going mad in his kennel. This roe is one cool customer.
Last summer I enjoyed some coffee at five in the morning, and the roe brought her two fawns of that year to feed in our orchard. I could not resist and got my Tikka T3, not loaded. I sneeked out, crawled into position and dry fired at the fattest fawn. All three left with warp speed.
Some days later they were back anyway.
I really like our bambies, it is fun to watch them with a mug of coffee in the morning.

Can anybody age the 2nd deer? I say 3.5-4 yrs. but Ill be the firs to say I dont know. Nothing worse than showing the kill pics to your buds and hearing "that would have been a good one next year". if this sparks intrest Ill get my friend in the deer guide business to give his openion.

I bet if you threw some corn out into a dug out snow area you would have every deer in the area coming to eat. And, then open the window, shoot the bow, drag the deer into the garage and get some back-strap for dinner.

Just kidding.
