Why don't we see more Defiance DBM's on the weapons on here? are they not a hi quality DBM, or not quite up there with the badgers or surgeons? On sheer looks alone they take the cake cause they look awesome but i wonder how the match up with the other more popular ones quality wise?

Basically, they are new to the market. I have 2 that will be coming to me as part of BlackOps builds I have in que. If they are like any of the other work of Mike's that I have seen then they will be right up there in quality with the other ones, and in some instances better. I am a big fan of the preload piston.

Maybe Mike will see this thread and explain it better. As he explained to me BOP & Defiance are not related but Mike recently became the CEO of Defiance after working with them for quite some time. Seems complicated but it's all business. Mike's even busier these days with responsibilities spread across both businesses.

I'm in the process of a new 300WM build. I chose the Defiance action, but went with the Badger M5 because I prefer the Badger magazine release lever over what the Defiance BDM has, which is a push button inside the trigger guard.
The reasons I prefer the lever system are; similarity with other weapon systems I own (Sako TRG's, AICS, GAP's with Badger M5, SIG 55X's, and AK's), and I feel the lever would be a better system while wearing gloves.

The "Defiance" DBM is actually the BlackOps DBM without the BlackOps logo. I've used my DBM on in-house builds only and didn't pursue a big marketing campaign, but instead, licensed my DBM to Defiance Machine.
I can make every assurance that there's no better DBM out there, as my design has features that are unique to BlackOps. It's not an inexpensive system, but it's no more expensive than the Surgeon. If you'd like one, call Michelle at the shop and she'll get you hooked up.

I just purchased the Defiance Long DBM from Norm at Defiance machine. He told me that it was a Black ops DBM and to get the AICS or AW magazines to fit it. I was about to order one today but I ran into a problem. I found out there are three different sizes of magazines out there! Which one do I order? The action/DBM is for a 300 win mag. So far I have found

I have a long action DBM. How does the in letting for it compare to a badger long action DBM? I have searched and saw where the short action is closer to the surgeon and have heard that the long action is more like the badger. Any help with that would be appreciated as I am striking out so far.
