Re: AI AWM Bolt Sticks?

Tell us more. Neck sized vs. full length?, Has the brass been fired in another rifle?, How many times has the brass been fired? Pressure; not much, some, warm, spicy, extra hot or thermal nucelar? Is there or are there ejector pin marks on the head of the case? Reloads or factory?

Re: AI AWM Bolt Sticks?

Is this a new rifle that has been doing this since day one, or is it something that just started happening?

Ide try giving the action and chamber a cleaning.

Bright brass above the belt should be noted as precursor to case head seperation.

Re: AI AWM Bolt Sticks?

John M Woo: Please contact me for assistance. We are the single and only US customer service facility authorized to work on these rifles. I will be glad to discuss with you the issue to see what I can do ASAP, thanks.

Re: AI AWM Bolt Sticks?

Now that is some service. One of the reasons I just took delivery of my first but not my last AI. Oh, and the other fact is that it is just plain sexy and shoots very well.

Re: AI AWM Bolt Sticks?

I had a similar problem with a steyr varmint in 22-250, bolt handle hard to lift using old stock of winchester supreme match. The issue was the hot factory loaded ammo. My reloads don't have the same issue.

Talked to Stacey once about questions i had on my AI AWP, he was very helpful! Excellent customer service! My AI was built back in the Oakridge days.

Re: AI AWM Bolt Sticks?

If you suspect an issue, please contact me for assistance, this is why I am here. If it needs attention, I will take care of it ASAP but most have the product in hand to assist. On another note, this is why AINA Fredericksburg, VA has a dedicated training area with the ability to accomodate x8 customers per class, per system and will be posting information on such courses after the first of the year and Shot Show. We are going to invite all alike the LE, Military and civilian customers to attend the respective course to the particular system they wish. This has been highly requested by customers and we are looking forward to offering this next year. Thanks again for all the positive inputs and happy holidays to all.
