Dicks is having a awesome gun sale for black friday. I plan to get the Troy Carbine out the door for $720. Rifle is $1100 new with $300 off over $800 purchase i believe which brings it down to $799 and just apply for a dick score card for an extra 10% off knocks it down to $720 out the door. Seems pretty good to me. This also applies for other Ar's also Im pretty sure.

Anyone one have feedback on the Troy Carbine?

Its not a score card that will get you the additional 10% off. You will have to apply for a Dicks Sporting Goods credit card and if you get preapproved, you then will get the additional savings. Be ready to be there at midnight, most stores in Tx only have one or two. You will be able to order it from the central stock and get it in a few days but most stores only have a few. As far as the quality.....I have never had anyone complain or bring one back for warranty issues. Hope this helps.

Watch out, when I bought one from them they tried to say the 10% couldn't be used on firearms, after I told them they could keep it they decided they could do "this time". There's a reason they are named "Dicks"

I called them locally in Ohio and they said that the sale is valid up until 2pm friday if you want to come in and get the gun. They are also pre-ordering the guns too.

Me and my brother went yesterday and ordered ours. The first store we went to wouldn't do the 10% off first purchase of a gun with a new card so we drove 20 miles to a store that did. Both places were helpful but it Is up to the store what they give the 10% off of. We got ours for $788.36 (9% tax) and should be able to pick them up next weekend. We tried like Hell to get the FDE version and then we tried to get the 2 they had in stock. Needless to say our bribery was denied and we have to wait. I don't think the guy working the counter thought I was attractive! Hahaha

Well Ive been shopping, Tue night they had 1 308, 5 days earlier they had 3. I have a feeling they are bait and switching, weird at that time rhough,,I went Tue and found out a locall sheriff dept deputy had his card on a 308 in the box in the back, manager said no they cant do that, I just went buy at 7.30 they had a line, I guess ill throw a smoke/teargas can at the door at 11.58 am, lol, my girl freind said she will trip anybody trying to side step me at the door,Those 6 inch heels will work,lol

I figure i will be at 316.00 in to a rem 700. you can buy the action for that.

Hey yea Ive slowed down on the boats,Furniture has been real slow and I espect after election, we are scared its going to get worse.Furniture is in my blood since I was 16,started in 1945,its a shame my grandfather worked till he was 93.no such thing at retirement.

yea Ive got the bug,I'm really liking it better than the boat stuff, Ive never been comptetive.Ive never been into guns, my Dad died and left me a bunch of military guns,//bad regrets,,but included a full automatic M16,I'm lucky!!! now Ive got a buddy that was with Carlos Hathcock sniper school till he died,He's been helping in the instructions of how to shoot. I owe him to giving me the BUG!!!

Still have the Ford powered Gladiator, but you know how ridiculously expensive that is. Business is about the same for me as you describe. I am Worried about the future too.

the glad is a hotrod!!!!! my buddy just bought a 42 MTI with 1200's. you could not imagine how hard it pulls,When I had my Scarab ,bought new 1990,12 years later breaking drives,desided to move up, After riding in the MTI, My next one will be a widebody MTI, It pulled harder than my Chevelle, but yea it was 435k

Got screwed at dicks today. I bought a 243 adl and when i got home and opened the box it is a 22-250. The s/n matches the box and the box says 243. Called them and they told me all sales are final. Going to call remington on monday and see what they have to say.

They would still have to exchange it for the correct firearm. I'm sure if you went to the Store BM that person would swap it out for the correct caliber.

Why is this beginning to sound like a reoccurring theme there? Both the receipt and paperwork should show a specific caliber for the firearm sold. If the firearm caliber isn't matching the paperwork then they should be legally accountable. Maybe one of the Attorney here can chime in with a better response to this since I'm sure every State is different.

I pulled the rifle out and completely dissabled the bcg to check for damage, reassembled it and did a functions check before the manager walked it out the door. Guy was suprised i even opened the box... ALWAYS look before you buy people.

Yea i went to pick up my 308's and after seeing this thread I inspected the guns, one was missing the scope,somebody scarfted it up I guess, yea its not much scope but it will work on a cheap 22 or pelit gun,the last ones Ive been getting in these deals,ive sold them for 20-40.00 so that puts me in cheaper overall price.

So I figure I wiil be into the gun less than 300.

also im fixing to have 5 of these stocks for sale.

Just curious how many of you guys got screwed on this deal....Let me clarify, I confirmed this evening that Dicks has sent out letters to guys that ordered and have paided in full for these AR's. The letter basically states that they will not be filling the orders and that if you have a question to call the number on the letter, which the letter leads to an automated call center. This is a raw deal for a bunch of folks unfortunately. There is also rumblings of a class action law suit over this whole cluster.

A Friend prepaid for 2 ar's, they refunded his money and gave him a gift card.I went today and they had cut back of there gun stuff, I would say 75%.

I'm still glad i sat in line for my $333.33 Rem 700 varmint barrel.prob want ever happen again.When I seel the stock and scope,Ill be into it less than 300

I live in Cheyenne and frequently go to Jax, havent heard of them what is the deal? Did they follow suit?
